This project was a tribute to comfort, thoughtful detailing, and an unwavering commitment to functional beauty.
The primary challenge of this project was to create an interior that felt both luxurious and deeply personal—one that respected Mr. Hassan’s lifestyle, age-related needs, and emotional connection to home. Our team’s goal was clear: design a home that blends safety with style, comfort with sophistication, and nostalgia with modern convenience.
We chose a design theme rooted in timeless comfort—a blend of soft contemporary with subtle traditional elements. Neutral palettes, warm undertones, and organic textures helped create a sense of familiarity and serenity. We stayed away from overly trendy or high-maintenance materials, instead opting for finishes that are both classic and enduring.
Layout planning and spatial zoning played a crucial role. We ensured that all circulation spaces were wide enough for smooth mobility, whether independent or assisted. Doorways were adjusted for accessibility, and thresholds were minimized to prevent tripping hazards. Key functional zones like the bedroom, bathroom, and living area were strategically placed for intuitive and easy navigation.
Material selection was guided by a dual priority: visual warmth and tactile comfort. Anti-slip flooring, matte-finish tiles, soft textiles, and natural woods were key choices. Color palettes revolved around earthy creams, moss greens, and gentle greys—tones that promote relaxation and clarity without being overly clinical.
Lighting was central to enhancing both mood and function. We incorporated layered lighting with dimmable overheads, wall sconces for ambiance, and motion-sensor night lights for safe navigation. Daylight was maximized using sheer curtains and carefully positioned mirrors to amplify the natural glow.
Every furniture and décor piece was selected with care. Edges were rounded, heights were adjusted for easy sitting and standing, and finishes were easy to clean. Built-in storage ensured clutter-free surroundings, while decorative elements—such as cherished memorabilia displays and artwork—infused the space with identity and warmth.
