The design centers on the tension between verticality and soft illumination. By using floor-to-ceiling fluted timber panels and mirrored surfaces, I’ve dissolved the physical boundaries of the 1590 ft² footprint. The social zone feels expansive yet grounded by a heavy, stone-clad feature wall, while the bedrooms shift into a more intimate, textural language with upholstered headboards and recessed perimeter lighting. This project is distinct for its rejection of harsh overhead sources, opting instead for architectural “glow” that defines paths and highlights the raw grain of the joinery.
