Project Detail

Contemporary Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) Design

This private beachfront villa was designed to evoke a serene connection between indoor living and the surrounding natural beauty. Our goal was to create a tranquil retreat—calm, airy, and grounded in organic simplicity.

Client Name:

Green Island Foundation School

Project Type:

Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC)

Style:

Contemporary

Size:

350 ft²

Design Concept

The concept centers on “Curated Discovery and Sensory Harmony.” We replaced traditional classroom clutter with a sophisticated contemporary edit. By utilizing an acoustic “forest canopy” and modular birch cabinetry, we maximized the 350 ft² floor plan. The design balances ergonomic flexibility with a calm, organic color palette, ensuring the environment supports both high-energy collaborative play and quiet, focused learning.

Material Palette

  • Birch Plywood & White Laminate: Used for modular cabinetry to provide a warm, durable, and clean aesthetic.
  • Textile Upholstery — Soft-touch woven fabrics in pastel tones for mobile poufs and integrated seating pads.
  • Antimicrobial Oak Vinyl: High-performance flooring that offers the look of wood with superior hygiene and durability.
  • Corian & Matte Black Hardware: Utilized in the “Wet Zone” for a sleek, modern, and easily maintainable art station.
  • Hand-Knotted Sage Rugs: Soft, tactile zones that define storytelling areas and provide sensory comfort.
