Modern Corporate Reception – DSV Global
Design Concept
The design narrative centers on the tension between movement and stability, mirroring the logistics identity of the brand. By utilizing a central portal framed by deep navy acoustic fins, the floor plan naturally compresses the viewer’s focus before expanding into the service zone. We opted for a light oak woodgrain on the reception desk, punctuated by rhythmic white diagonal slats that break the mass of the joinery and suggest a sense of kinetic energy. The atmosphere is grounded by a neutral, off-white shell that allows the deep blue accents and the organic textures of the fiddle-leaf figs to provide a biophilic relief against the rigid grid of the ceiling and the linear wall paneling. Lighting is strictly functional yet warm, with recessed spotlights highlighting the tactile contrast between the smooth gallery walls and the industrial mesh of the guest seating.
Material Palette
- Linear Ribbed Wall Paneling — Vertical white fluting is applied to the primary focal wall to create a play of shadow and light, adding depth behind the reception desk without visual clutter.
- Perforated Steel Mesh — Employed in the guest armchairs to introduce an industrial, breathable texture that contrasts with the solid, heavy presence of the leather-upholstered sofas.
- Light Oak Timber — Used for the reception desk and low-level cabinetry to bring a natural warmth and “human” element to the otherwise sterile, high-contrast corporate environment.
- Navy Blue Acoustic Slats — These vertical fins frame the transition between the waiting area and the desk, providing both a structural rhythm and a bold nod to the brand’s color identity.
- Matte Charcoal Leather — Selected for the linear sofas to provide a durable, low-profile seating solution that anchors the waiting zone and adds a touch of necessary weight.
